The Aphorism - Field Notes / Passport Wallet

An aphorism is a concise statement of truth of principle. The Stoics go nuts for them. With this beautiful handmade notebook wallet, you can come up with a few of your own, or just have a nice handy jotpad for shopping lists, or the model of number of your printer so you can get ink later, how many games of cribbage you're up. The possibilities are endless. It even works for passports! This piece has the following specifications:

This premium leather wallet is hand cut and hand stitched to order in Nova Scotia, Canada and is designed for both style and longevity. The wrap-around flap closure features a two high quality solid brass snaps that provide a nice satisfying click. It encloses the built in pen loop and keeps the wallet securely closed. The large pen loop is designed to accommodate fountain pens, but will work fine for conventional pens as well. Inside are 4 card slots, 1 flap pocket for folded bills/receipts/maps/whatever, and two identical sleeve pockets, one for general use, and one to slide in a pocket notebook. The notebook is included. Notebooks are handmade in the same workshop as the wallets. Each has a sewn binding and features high quality fountain pen safe dot grid paper. Depending on the thickness of the paper I have on hand, it will feature 36-48 pages. Pen not included.

Size-wise, this wallet is about the height of a full sized smartphone, and about 30% wider. It will fit easily into the back pocket of a pair of jeans, though it will stick out slightly at the top. It can fit fully into the front jeans pocket of every pair I tried it on. 

This is a timeless piece that gives you a place to write anywhere you go and is perfect for the type of person that values analog writing. Can fit easily enough in a pocket, perfect to throw in a bag or purse. This wallet is made from premium grade full-grain Italian vegetable tan leather sourced from within Canada and is designed to be hard-wearing and long lasting. The piece will be stiff at first (Especially the card slots), but it will patina, loosen, flatten, and form over time into something that is truly unique to you!

This piece is made to order and lead times are typically 4-8 weeks depending on order volume and my leather stockpiles, though I always try to get things out as quickly as possible.
